Married Couples Day Celebration ( ಕಾಜಾರಿ ಜೊಡ್ಯಾಂಚೊ ದೀಸ್ )

On 28 July 2024 Sunday, Married couples day was celebrated in our parish. This program was organized by Family Commission, Lay Apostolic Commission, Women's Commission and Ecumenism Commission. It started with the Eucharistic celebration. The program started at 10.00 am in the Church Hall with a Prayer song. Rev.Fr.Paul Sequeira, Parish Priest presided over the program. Parish Pastoral Vice President/Family Commission conveyor Dr. Freeda Rodrigues, Secretary Mrs. Nancy Cardoza, Commission Coordinator Mrs.Lavina Serrao, Resource person Mr. Lawrence Sequeira, Lay Apostolic Commission conveyor Mr. Patrick Pinto, Women's Commission Coordinator Mrs. Helen Dsouza, were present on the dais. 

Mr. Francis Menezes and Mrs. Felcy Fernandes delivered a speech on day's importance.  Fr.Paul Sequeira congratulated all the couples   and wished them all good. Resource person Mr. Lawrence Sequeira shared his experience on marriage life and shared some tips for a happy marriage. Opportunity was given to couples to share their experience of family life. Games were conducted for the couples and the winners were felicitated. Also, couples participated in the cultural program which included a dance and a song. Sixteen Golden Couples were felicitated. Mr. Francis and Sylvia Menezes shared their thoughts on good married life along with engaging themselves in social work. Mr. Ronald and Mrs. Lilly Serrao expressed their thoughts on married life built on Christian values.

Mrs. Winnifred Quadros   welcomed the gathering and Mr. Patrick Pinto endured vote of thanks.  Mr. Leo and Mrs. Reshma Menezes compered the program. Breakfast and lunch were served to all. 40 couples participated in the program.
