ICYM BALKUNJE- OLD AGE HOME VISIT -MAR 17, 2024

On Sunday March 17, 2024, ICYM Balkunje unit visited the Jeevan Asha Trust old age home in Shirva. It has become a home to about 40 elderly people. 

Most of the elderly residing there are local residents of nearby places while few are from far away places like Bombay. The old age home houses people that are healthy as well as sick and bedridden. 

This visit gave us a chance to interact with the residents and know their story. The residents there were lovely and kind enough to tell us about their lives. We spoke to each of the residents individually. Then, we entertained them by singing and dancing for them. We also distributed the snacks that we had bought for them as well as donated some money. It was a beautiful experience and a day to remember. It made us appreciate the people who take care of the elderly.
